Here's what we'll be covering this term in Nursery:

---

English

In English, we will be learning to join in with nursery rhymes and action songs, e.g. 1,2,3,4,5 Once I Caught a Fish Alive. We will be reading Hooray for Fish, Superworm and Errol’s Garden.

Maths

In Maths, we will be learning to count, focusing on numbers 1-5, making comparisons relating to length, height, weight and capacity, learning different positional language.

Topics that we will be covering across this half-term

We will be exploring our environment and learning about different festivals and religious festivals including Chinese New Year.

P.E.

We have our outdoor learning sessions on Muddy Mondays and children will need to dress warmly and bring their welly boots.

Our P.E day is Wednesday morning  

Please send your child to school wearing trainers on this day.

We will be learning different ways of moving in P.E and moving equipment, e.g. balls. We will be rolling, crawling, climbing, balancing and exploring obstacle courses. We will also be dancing and learning to dance with scarves and linking our dance lessons to our stories, e.g. dancing like fish and different sea creatures.
