Cutenhoe Hill Primary School strives to provide a safe and caring environment for all pupils, staff and families.

We believe that every child is capable of being a successful learner.  The social and emotional health and well-being of all pupils at Cutenhoe Hill Primary School is a high priority, as it plays an important factor in how well a pupil will achieve in all areas of their schooling.

We work across school from Nursery to Year 6, supporting children with their emotional, social and behavioural learning. We provide 1:1 sessions, in-class support, group sessions and support during break and lunch times. We work with children for different reasons, so the help we offer depends on the needs of the child, but includes:

  • Listening to children and discussing anything that is worrying them
  • Helping to raise a child’s confidence and self-esteem
  • Developing emotional literacy
  • Developing coping strategies and emotions management
  • Building resilience
  • Encouraging children to do their best in school and setting targets
  • Increasing motivation
  • Developing social skills and helping to manage friendship issues

Our main aim is to encourage and support children who are experiencing difficulties, working with them so that they can achieve their goals.

We offer all kinds of help along the way and our door is always open (for both parents and children). If you have any concerns about your child and feel they may need to access this support, pop along and see us or speak with your child's teacher.

We'll always do our best to help!
