Wraparound Care

Cutenhoe Hill Primary School offers wraparound care for pupils in Reception to Year 6, currently attending Cutenhoe Hill Primary School.

Our wraparound care provision operates between 7:30am and 6pm daily.  It is currently located in the Museum on the school grounds and is open every morning and afternoon, throughout term time.

All wraparound childcare staff are employees of Cutenhoe Hill Primary School and a fully qualified and DBS checked.

Breakfast Sessions 

Morning wraparound childcare sessions

£4.00 per child, per day

Our breakfast sessions run from 7:30am – 8:45am.

Children can be dropped off at any time from 7:30am.

Breakfast is served between 7:30am - 8:00am. This consists of healthy cereals, toast with a variety of toppings, crumpets and fresh fruit.  Water and fruit juice are available throughout the breakfast session.

Children have the opportunity to take part in activities, such as reading, drawing and board games.  All morning activities encourage a calm start to the school day.

Please be advised that breakfast is not provided after 8:00am.

All children are escorted to their respective classrooms by wraparound childcare staff at the end of each morning session for a smooth transition into class.


After-School Sessions

After-school wraparound sessions

Sessions start at 3:30pm.

Children can attend up until 6:00pm.

There are three options for the afternoon sessions:

After-school, session 1  -  £5.00 per child, per day

Session 1 accommodates children attending between 3:30pm – 4:30pm.

After-school, session 2  -  £6.50 per child, per day

Session 2 accommodates children attending between 3:30pm – 5:30pm.

After-school, session 3  -  £7.50 per child, per day

Session 3 accommodates children attending between 3:30pm – 6:00pm.

A healthy selection of snacks are available to all children attending after-school sessions, such as crackers, wraps and fresh fruit.   Water and juice are available throughout the session.

Children have the opportunity to take part in lots of exciting activities with our highly skilled and first-aid-trained wraparound childcare staff. This includes:  arts and crafts, board games,  both indoor and outdoor activities. 

 Children have access to our school playground and equipment, weather permitting.  Children also have the opportunity to complete homework tasks with staff.

Children attending after-school wraparound sessions are escorted to the Museum on the school grounds at the end of the school day by Cutenhoe Hill Primary School staff.


BOOKING INFORMATION

To register, please visit Reception and ask for the Breakfast/After School Club Agreement Form which should be completed and returned to Reception.  

Once registered, you can book places online via your child's ScoPay account. 
 

PLEASE NOTE: 

All sessions must be booked and paid for in advance.

Cutenhoe Hill Primary School is registered with the Government’s Tax-Free Childcare Scheme and can also accept Childcare Vouchers from a number of employer schemes.

Payments are to be made online via your child’s ScoPay account.

 

BREAKFAST/AFTER SCHOOL CLUB TERMS AND CONDITIONS:

  • ALL payments and bookings MUST be made in advance (24 hours in advance of the day you wish to use the facility).
  • If the booking is no longer required, a 12-hour cancellation notice is needed in order to receive a full refund.
  • If you turn up without pre-booking, an extra £1 per session per child will be charged subject to availability.
  • If staff encounter problems with the behaviour of a child/children, the school club management has the right to withdraw your child/children from the service and your agreement will no longer be valid. (In this instance, parents will be notified. A final notice of withdrawal of club agreement for your child/children will be issued with two weeks’ notice).
  • If your child is not collected by 6pm there is a charge of £10 per 15 minutes that you are late. Should you not inform the school that you are running late after 6pm, the school is obligated to make a referral to Social Care. This will commence at a designated time after 6pm as staff will not be liable to care for your child after this time.
  • In the event of the club being full, your child/children may not be able to access a place on that day.
  • If you do not abide by the above agreement, your child/children will no longer be able to use Cutenhoe Hill Primary School Breakfast and After School Clubs.
